What makes a guy for the mature woman – HOT! 

I mean like - SIZZLING!!!!!!! 

You know - the sort of guy you drool over watching his butt cheeks walking down the street.

And when do you stop drooling? If ever?

Do you alter what is important to you in a guy?

Does maturity define your sexual perimeters?

With age comes experience. Or as I prefer to call it – cynicism.

'I don't care if he's poor. I love him.' Thus speaks the naivety of youth.

'I don't care if he's ugly. He's rich.' So says the wisdom of age.

Would you marry a Quasimodo if he was a billionaire? Plenty have – and I for one – don't blame them. We can't all be romantics.

There's hot and there's really hot. Sam Elliot is on the scale of really hot as far as I am concerned. He has always made me go weak at the knees. That face. That voice. That moustache.......he's gorgeous. 

Divorce is falling in every demographic – except for the over 50's - the Silver Separators. Divorce in this age group is rising. Which means there are a lot of – mature, free single, and financially comfortable (hopefully), ladies looking to find new love.

What should the mature woman look for in a man? Much of the same as the last one? Or a complete change, because the last one was a total arsehole, that's why she's divorced him.

If the reason you are single is because of a split – do you really need to get trapped in another relationship? When we are young, we get married to have children, a home, and live happily ever after with our grandchildren at our knees. When it doesn't work out that way, does it make sense to repeat the same mistakes?

Sometime ago a friend of mine – yes a real friend – not me, began a relationship with a man, because he had a 'cute' smile. Seems it's true that there's no fool, like an old fool. They jointly bought a house and set up their love nest. Didn't take long before they were ready to kill each other. She spent a year of hell, before the house was sold and they could thankfully go their separate ways.

Us baby boomers have thrown off all those conventions that bound our parents to love-less marriages. We are freer than any other generation of our age before us.

A hot guy doesn't necessarily equate to a lasting relationship guy. Good manners. Generous. Thoughtful. Romantic. Not possessive. And prepared to take Viagra, if he needs to. These things make a hot guy for me. I've gone way passed, the hot body, good looking 'cute smiled' guy. That said, a blob who's lost the plot is a definite turn off.

If you are on your own, and lonely – don't let a cute smile rob you of your freedom. What is wrong with having, 'friends with benefits'? Absolutely – nothing. No strings attached – that's hot for me.

Of course, if he looks like Sam Elliot – that's a red-hot – yes please.
