Harry and Meghan - living in a glass house.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Meghan and Harry would do well to remember this.
Why does a private jet travelling Duke and Duchess living in a vast $14 million mansion, with multiple millions in the bank - think we ordinary people are interested in what they have to say? They obviously do think we are interested, otherwise they wouldn't keep on with the verbal diarrhea of how we should all do more to save the planet. Don't they know, after diarrhea comes constipation? Meaning anyone with intelligence is no longer listening to them.
Wow!! This looks a seriously planet saving. An Eco friendly mansion of 9 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. Just the right size home for two adults and two young children. Not much of a carbon foot print here.
Still trying to get my head around a 9 bedroomed property that has 16 bathrooms. Must be all that verbal diarrhea - need to get to the loo rapido - perhaps? The water usage alone with all those bathrooms, not to mention the swimming pool, would help some drought stricken Californian farmer with their water shortage problems. But with a 7.38 acre garden they are not likely to share their water.
Guess there's not much chance of them reducing their environmental impact with one of these less grandiose homes.
I have no problems with H&M (Harry and Megan) wanting to increase awareness for the need to safeguard the planet. I do, however, have a problem with them constantly making me feel like I'm letting the whole world down by not doing enough to eliminate global warming. So just in case they read this article (you never know) - I thought I'd do a brief rundown of my own carbon foot print verses theirs.
Me
Transport - bus.
Bathrooms in house - one.
Bedrooms - two.
Swimming pool - nil.
Garden - small patch at the back.
Water conservation - water butt for the bird bath and small organic veggie plot.
Plant based diet - Vegan.
Recycling - obsessive.
Electricity from a renewable energy supplier.
Renewable energy panels for hot water.
Electricity usage - bare minimum. To be honest that's because I'm not a multi-millionaire, and it's too bloody expensive to leave the lights on or heat the place in winter.
H&M's
average miles per gallon - 22 in city driving - 28 highway driving.
Bathrooms - 16.
Bedrooms - 9.
Swimming pool - bigger than the one at my local leisure centre.
Garden - 7.8 acres.
Water conservation - not sure but probably non-existent. Thanks to the swimming pool and too many bathrooms.
Plant based diet - weekdays only Vegan. WTF!
Recycling - ??
Renewable energy - can't see any solar panels, so I'll take that as a no.
Electricity usage - probably enough to keep a small power plant in business.
The copious consumption of all things material would be no ones business but their own - if they stopped preaching about the need for the rest of us to consume less.
Harry's Eco warrior status definitely falls flat after his recent 1,500 mile round trip in a 20 seater private jet to play Polo. It screams - Hypocrite - to me.
A report by Transport and Evironment found that private jets are 5 to 14 times more polluting than commercial planes per passenger.
Major hypocrite melt-down with this one. Two people who keep plugging family values at us - when they've both done the dirty on their families, really should stay quiet.
No parent is ever perfect. What I have read, shows that these two fathers have done the best they could for their children, and don't deserve to be treated in the way they have.
I wasn't going to mention the Oprah interview - but what the hell. To me it was not so much an interview, more a betrayal. Listening to it, and then the subsequent rebuttals in the press - has left me wondering was there any truth to it at all?
I admire Oprah. Here's her Wikipedia entry - Oprah Winfrey - from poverty to Billionaire - I wonder what she thought as she sat and listened to a grown man, whining on about his father stopping his pocket money, and only inheriting around £10 million from his mother? A Prince brought up in a palace, sent to the most exclusive schools (at great cost), who has never known what it is like to want for anything. Servants catering for his every whim - a life of complete silver spooned privilege. I've no doubt Oprah wasn't impressed.
Neither it seems was ex-president Barack Obama. Then why would anyone want to invite Harry and Meghan to a birthday party? Two people who say they want privacy, but keep spewing to the world, family problems that are best left private.
It is very sad that he lost his mother at a young age, but then so did his brother William. Whatever Prince William thinks of his family, he has kept honourably to himself.
collection - look familiar?
Here's the website if you want to have a look around - H & M
My verdict - the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - are hypocrites.
